New devices such as PDA's and mobile telephones are being designed to accept the RS-MMC card standard, whilst providing you with the flexibility of being able to use this card in any MMC or SD card compatible device (via the adapter included). Samsung RSMMC Cards are compatible with all digital cameras, digital video camcorders, audio players, new multi-function 2.5G & 3G cell phones and other portable devices. Reduced size MultiMediaCard (RS-MMC) has a form factor of 24mm by 18mm, approximately half the size of a standard MMC. With the use of an adapter, the RS-MMC is also compatible with devices using the standard MMC. The RS-MMC employs Multi Chip Module mounting technology, and incorporates multi level cell AND type flash memories and a controller in a card approximately half the size of a current MultiMediaCard. The RS-MMC uses the same flash memory and controller as high-speed MultiMedia Card series, and provides the same performance in a smaller size. Every RS-MMC card comes with an MMC adapter, which expands the RS-MMC card to a regular MMC card for use in products that only support the traditional sized MMC card.
