The Katana 3 CPU Cooler has the smart and patent-pending mounting mechanism "VTMS" (Versatile Tool-Free Multiplatform System) which allows mounting of Katana 3 CPU heatsink without using tools. The slightly curved shape of the Katana 3 allows for both direct heat transfer from the cooling fins as well as additional cooling of the mainboard components. The various cooling fins on the baseplate allow for additional heat dissipation, they also optimize the overall performance of the cooler without changing the compact dimensions of the entire system. This cooler is compatible with socket Intel Sockets 478, LGA775, LGA1156, LGA1366 and AMD Sockets 754, Socket 939, Socket AM2, Socket AM2+, Socket AM3 & Socket 940.
