Take advantage of the power and speed of Serial ATA, or SATA, hard drives with this quality SATA PCI expansion card. This PCI card installs in a spare PCI slot, adding two independent SATA hard drive channels for hard drive storage and expansion -capable of data transfer rates up to 1.5Gbps.
Two Serial ATA (SATA) connectors are made available internally using this card, allowing Serial ATA hard drives and other devices to be utilised. Software for Serial ATA RAID is also included so that Striping and Mirroring can be set up.
RAID Striping greatly improves hard disk I/O performance by concurrently Striping data across multiple drives. RAID mirroring enable users to enjoy the confidence of data availability regardless of a single disk failure as data is written to two drives simultaneously.
