This active DisplayPort to DVI-D adapter interfaces DisplayPort based PCs and notebook computers with conventional DVI displays, without the requirement of a graphics card for dual mode DisplayPort signalling. This adapter attaches directly to a DisplayPort output signal, performs a protocol conversion, then outputs to a DVI-D digital signal. With a supported input of DisplayPort 1.1a with HDCP 1.3 (configurable 1 or 2 lanes and 1.62/2.7Gbps data rate), this adapter outputs at DVI 1.0 standards for resolutions up to 1080P or 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz. No external power is required as this adapter is supplied directly by your computers DisplayPort and a spare USB port.
